TERMS OF REFERENCE
Background

The Knowledge and Learning Strategy and the combined demand of international initiatives and departmental plans for Knowledge and Learning (KNL) of the organizational units of the Bank, provided the platform for the development and implementation of a program of global organization for KNL and serve as a parameter for the allocation of resources, managed by KNL's' budget, and staff time.

In order to ensure the quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness of the activities of Knowledge and Learning (KNL), KNL has established the Shared Support Services Team (SSST), integrated of highly qualified professionals with the goal of providing common support services to organizational units, the national and regional clients for the implementation of KNL plans and institutional priorities.

The logistic services, as part of SSST, assist creating the material conditions of KNL& classroom events adapted to the design and needs of the departments, both at Headquarters as well as the Country Offices and contributing experience in event management and business knowledge, timing and the Bank's organizational structure to guarantee optimal conditions for delivering products and/or services of high quality at low cost.

Objectives
    Provide logistical support in events preparation and execution and on all other activities related to the execution of KNL events, as well as general administrative support in other areas.
    Contribute towards the strengthening and / or implementation of processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes related to events management activities.

Schedule of Payments:
DTC- Monthly

Coordination: The consultant will be assigned to KNL/KNL

Qualifications

Education



  •     Science degree in administration, accounting, economics, public relations, communications or any discipline alike.
  •     Events management certification is required.
  •     2 or more years of experience in event preparation and/or coordination.

  •     Português (Desirable)

  •     Payment and Conditions of Employment:

If the work will be carried out at Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. Remuneration will be determined in accordance with Bank regulations and criteria. The Bank will additionally contribute toward travel and moving expenses, if applicable. If a candidate is not a citizen or resident of the United States, the Bank will apply for a G-IV visa from the consulate of the United States in the candidate's country of origin

If a candidate cannot obtain a visa to work at the IDB the contractual offer will be rescinded. Individuals with relatives working for the IDB within and including the fourth degree of consanguinity and the second degree of affinity are not eligible. This includes staff members and consultants. Candidates must be citizens of a member country of the Inter-American Development Bank.
