About the Job:
Accion International is seeking an Organization Development and Training Associate. S/he will add support to the organization through organizational development and management and leadership training initiatives. S/he will also support the professional development of organization's staff by researching, managing, and/or administering a wide variety of learning opportunities. S/he will also provide general administrative support to the human resources department, and collaborate with other departments on special projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities:


  •     Support organization’s on-site and virtual management and leadership training series, and other trainings as needed. Market training opportunities to staff, track attendance, tabulate evaluations, and implement suggestions for improvements. Edit training materials (PowerPoints, handouts) and audio files from training sessions for distribution;
  •     Manage professional development approval process and database of professional development opportunities (Wordpress);
  •     Manage course approvals, profile set-up, and development of course catalogs for eCornell and the organization's eLearning portal. Follow up with staff to ensure course completion;
  •     Support language learning initiatives as needed;
  •     Manage the human resources presence on the organization's intranet, including the human resources page, knowledge and learning pages, and new hire page;
  •     Interface with representatives from other departments on behalf of human resources, and provide general administrative support to the human resources department as needed;
  •     Participate in and provide general support to the onboarding of new employees;
  •     Propose and support initiatives fostering high staff morale across the organization;
  •     Manage special events and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  •     Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, International Relations, Communications, English, or a related field of study;
  •     At least 1 year of relevant experience;
  •     Strong writing skills, attention to detail and follow-through essential. Well-organized and results-focused;
  •     Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work independently and virtually;
  •     Creative, adaptable, and resourceful, with a positive attitude;
  •     Knowledge of MS Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio;
  •     Experience in content management in Wordpress, Drupal, or similar helpful, but not required;
  •     Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred.
