The Intersect Fund is a non-profit microlender and certified CDFI that equips the least fortunate with the skills and capital to develop successful businesses, generate income, and build assets. They provide business training, coaching, and microloans to low-income, minority, and women-owned businesses throughout New Jersey.

About the Job:
The Intersect Fund is seeking a Training and Technical Assistance Associate. S/he will coordinate the business coaching programs under the supervision of the president and CEO. The position is based in Newark.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

•     Support the recruitment and management of the Fund’s volunteer and contract business coaches;
•     Ensure business coaches are able to deliver timely and relevant assistance to the organization’s borrowers;
•     Collect relevant data and feedback from coaches and clients;
•     Play a critical role in researching and developing new training modules, as recommended by client feedback.

Qualifications:

•     Strong foundation in research and program development;
•     Excellent writing and communication skills;
•     Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
•     Self-motivated and able to meet goals;
•     High level of attention to detail;
•     Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
•     Knowledge of and interest in microfinance and microenterprise development a plus.
